🚶 Move & Talk

Walk with WASD or the arrow keys — or tap anywhere and the monkey walks there. Walk up to a customer, a car, or the counter phone and hit E (or tap the green button that pops up) to interact.

🔍 Diagnose

Read the customer's complaint and pick the real cause out of four. A wrong pick drains their patience bar and resets your diag streak — empty the bar and they storm out, and your reputation takes the hit. A right pick shows you the real-world why behind the fault, so you learn the trade as you play.

🧾 Write the Estimate

Diagnosis first, then the price — before a single bolt turns. The estimate breaks down like a real one: parts + labor at $90/hr + the $60 diagnostic. Quote the fair price and business hums. Lowball it and the shop eats the difference; gouge and most folks walk.

🔧 Wrench It

The car rolls to a bay — walk up to it to start the job. Work the steps in the real order, against the clock: when a step names a tool, tap it in the toolbox; when it names a part, tap the pulsing part in the diagram, right where it sits on the car. Steps marked ×5 mean tap every one — all five lug nuts, in a star pattern, just like the real bay. Wrong taps cost 2 seconds. A flawless job earns ❤ Pride.

☎️ Answer the Phone

When the phone rings at the counter, hustle over and answer it. Shop rule, same as real life: never quote blind. Estimates happen in person and most jobs need an appointment — callers pushing for a number over the phone are testing you.

📦 Parts & the Shelf

Jobs pull real stock off the shelves — check them anytime with 📦. Run dry mid-job and it's a parts run: the right part at a fair price, a cheap look-alike that won't fit (costs you time and money), or OEM (pricey, but customers notice). Restock and buy upgrades between days.

😤 Watch the Stress

A full waiting room, a ringing phone, cars in both bays — it all frazzles the monkey, and a frazzled monkey's repair clock runs fast. Tap 🧘 to step outside and breathe it off before it costs you a job.

🌙 Close of Day — the Books

At 6 PM the shop closes and the books open: revenue minus parts, supplies, and your time at $30/hr. Ten percent comes off the top into shop savings, then the day's profit splits 50/50. Spend what's banked in the shop store — a pro impact, a second lift, a coffee machine — then clock in tomorrow.
